Flame Arresters
GFSA Flame Arresters are mechanical safety devices with no moving parts and are designed to stop the propogation of flames in piping systems while permitting the flow of gas/vapour mixtures as well as flammable liquids.
For gas/vapour conditions, both inline and end-of-line units for installation on tanks and at the end of vent lines are available. Sizes range from ½” to 12”n.b. as standard with specials up to 24”n.b.
For liquid conditions, two types of unit are available: a totally enclosed, maintenance-free unit and a fully accessible unit which enables cleaning. The ability to clean is particularly important where the liquid product is likely to change meaning that the system must be thoroughly cleaned after each process fluid change.
Liquid-type Flame Arresters are available in sizes from 1”n.b. to 12”n.b. as standard, with special sizes available to suit customer requirements.
Various flange ratings are available with raised face, ring-type or full face flange faces. GFSA Flame Arresters can be supplied in Carbon and Stainless Steel of any grade.
GFSA is approved to BS EN 13980 2002 for ATEX approved flame arresters. They are designed, tested and certified to EN ISO 16852 : 2010 in accordance with ATEX directive 2014/34/EU.
